Psychotherapy
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, grief, trauma, or simply a sense that something no longer feels right. Therapy offers a confidential space to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and begin moving towards meaningful change.
I provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental environment where you can speak openly and be met with genuine curiosity, respect, and understanding. Together, we will explore whatever feels important to you, at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
My approach is humanistic and integrative, recognising that no two people experience life in the same way. Rather than following a single model, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs, always placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work.
Alongside careful listening and emotional support, I may gently challenge patterns of thinking, feeling, or relating when it feels helpful to do so. Growth often comes through both acceptance and reflection, allowing new perspectives and possibilities to emerge.
People come to therapy for many different reasons, including:
-
Anxiety and stress
-
Depression and low mood
-
Trauma and childhood experiences
-
Relationship difficulties
-
Bereavement and loss
-
Low self-esteem and confidence
-
Life transitions and identity
-
Emotional overwhelm
-
Domestic abuse
-
PTSD and complex trauma
For clients who may benefit, sessions can also include the optional calming presence of a therapy dog, helping some people feel more settled, regulated, and comfortable within the therapeutic space.
Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, but you don't have to face life's challenges alone. If you're considering counselling or psychotherapy, I invite you to get in touch for an initial conversation where we can explore whether working together feels like the right fit.
